Rutger Bregman (1988) is a Dutch historian and best selling author.

His books Humankind (2020) and Utopia for Realists (2017) were both Sunday Times and New York Times best sellers. His work has been translated into 46 languages and has sold over two million copies.

Bregman's books have attracted readers as diverse as Richard Branson, Ursula von der Leyen, Yuval Noah Harari and Rupert Murdoch. Humankind is currently being adapted into a major documentary series.
